New Sudbury Days fireworks have been rescheduled to Saturday, October 20 at 8:30 pm. Come out and celebrate New Sudbury!

  • BBQ at Twin Forks Park - 11 am to 4 pm
    Outdoor movie at Twin Forks Park - 9:30 pm

  • Family community bike ride - 11 am - meet at Twin Forks Park
    Fireworks at Westmount Park (if the fire ban is lifted) - 10 pm

  • Fireworks at Westmount Park - 8:30 pm

SCHEDULE

Saturday, August 25

11 am: BBQ and family activities

Join us at Twin Forks Park for lots of good fun and a free BBQ! Children's activities include a bouncy, facepainting, and other kids activities. Bouncies sponsored by the Sudbury Credit Union and the Healthy Kids Community Challenge.

Be wowed by the magic of our own Ward 8 resident magician Stefano Presenza!

We'll have free hot dogs/hamburgers, and displays and activities from the Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury and the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee. The Greater Sudbury fire, police and paramedic services will also be there with trucks and cruisers.

The KISS/Q92 Girls of Summer will also be popping in.

9:30 pm: Outdoor movie

Join us at Twin Forks for a great, family-friendly movie, Academy Award nominated Ferdinand. Bring your lawnchairs and blankets. We're working on getting free popcorn! In the case of rain, the movie will be shown inside the Twin Forks playground building.

Sunday, August 26

11 am: Community bike ride

Meet at Twin Forks for a ride on New Sudbury trails and residential streets. This ride is suitable for riders of all ages and abilities. Children are welcome. The ride will be tailored to the abilities and comfort of the riders, and will be led by a certified CANBIKE instructor from the Sudbury Cyclists Union. Please make sure you wear a helmet, bring water, and make sure that your bicycle is in good working order.

10 pm: Fireworks - CANCELLED DUE TO THE FIRE BAN

Meet at Westmount for fireworks sponsored by the Ward 8 CAN, City of Greater Sudbury, Dreamcatcher Fireworks, and the Westmount Neighbourhood Association. The fireworks are dependent on the fire ban being lifted, and will be rescheduled for later in the fall if we are unable to hold them.

Meet at Westmount for fireworks sponsored by the Ward 8 CAN, City of Greater Sudbury, Dreamcatcher Fireworks, and the Westmount Neighbourhood Association.

OUR 2018 SCHOOL LUNCH FOOD DRIVE

Help us support the Sudbury Food Bank! Bring some non-perishable food items  and help us provide nutritious back to school items to local families in need.

Our 2018 School Lunch Food Drive accepts cash, cheques and food donations at:

Giant Tiger Lasalle, Thursday August 23, from 9 am to 9 pm
Metro Lasalle, Friday August 24, from 9 am to 9 pm
Twin Forks Park, Saturday, August 25, from 11 am to 4 pm
