VENUE AMENITIES••

  • The Main Entrance can be accessed off Normandy Street. Visitors can also access the park off Wedgewood Drive and Lauzon Avenue and use a paved path to reach the building. The property and paths are hilly. 
  • Washrooms are available inside the park building.
  • The site has accessible playground equipment.
  • There is limited motor vehicle parking on site. Parking is available on side streets.
  • Visitors can bring their bikes in with them to the park. Please bring a lock to lock your bike.
  • Visitors are encouraged to bike, walk, or take transit to the event. Transit rides are free to all of our events, thanks to Sudbury Transit. Just mention to the bus driver that you’re going to a New Sudbury Days event.
  • Transit access is available via the Main Line leaving downtown to the Montrose Mall stop 6310. It is an approximate 10 minute walk that has steep hills. Walk north on Montrose Avenue, turn right on Lavoie Street, left on Cardinal Court, then right on Normandy Court.
  • All City of Greater Sudbury buses have bike racks for 2 bikes, and a bicycle may be transported on-board a bus at the driver’s discretion.
  • Some active transportation routes are available in the City for those wanting to bike to the event. See the City’s Recreation Map.
  • Please help us keep New Sudbury Days clean and green by using the recycling (blue) and compost (green) bins at our Net Zero Waste Stations. Signs are posted, and volunteers will be available at some stations to help.
  • Please note that dog waste is not permitted in City garbage bins. Please pick up your dog poop and bring it home for disposal.
  • Tables and chairs will be set up in the fieldhouse for dining.   
  • We are serving pancakes until they run out. Your choice of drink will include coffee, a juice box or a bottle of water. Please remember to put your juice box in the recycling bins and its straw in the garbage bins.
  • We encourage you to bring your own water bottles. Tap water is available in the park fieldhouse.  
  • Visitors can also dine at the outdoor picnic tables.
  • The First Aid Station is located at the fieldhouse. A first aid kit is available for minor injuries and a volunteer with First Aid certification is available on site. Please ask a volunteer to call the First Aid responder if you need help. For a serious injury, please call 911 immediately. We do not have a defibrillator on site.
  • Volunteers will be monitoring for any unwanted behaviours. If you need help or to report inappropriate behaviour, please come to the fieldhouse building or talk to a volunteer. Volunteers will be wearing safety vests and have a name tag.
  • The lost child station is also at the fieldhouse.
  • Our venues are all in public access areas. We will be taking photos of the event which may include photos of attendees.
  • Washrooms and changing stations are available in the fieldhouse.
  • Tour the park on our paved paths!
