VENUE AMENITIES••

  • Three designated parking spots are available at the bottom of the ramp, which provides access to the main venue at the building.
  • The stage/food area can be accessed via a curb cut in the upper ramp which leads to the upper service road and the back of the building. Past the service road, the stage/food area is grass.
  • The Pop-Up Market and Family Activity areas are located in the soccer field area past the tennis/pickle ball/basketball courts. Access is via the service road leading from the parking lot to the area. Access is on grass.
  • Access to the building including to the accessible washrooms is via the main front doors which has a slight lip. Help may be required.
  • Limited motor vehicle parking is available in the parking lot as we must maintain a free path in the case of an emergency, and display vehicles from some of our community members will be there including Fire and EMS. Please follow the direction of the parking attendant. Motor vehicle parking is available on local side streets.
  • Parking for up to 20 bicycles is available at the stairs at the main entrance. Please bring a lock to lock your bike.
  • Visitors are encouraged to bike, walk, or take transit to the event.
  • Transit access is available via the Main Line connection to Route 20 Graywood / Madison Local, which travels on a loop to/from the New Sudbury Centre. See the Schedule and Map. The closest stop is 7205 – corner of Madison and Gary. The park is a very short distance away south on Gary Street.
  • All City of Greater Sudbury buses have bike racks for 2 bikes, and a bicycle may be transported on-board a bus at the driver’s discretion.
  • Some active transportation routes are available in the City for those wanting to bike to the event. See the City’s Recreation Map.
  • We want to be environmentally-friendly, so there will be recycling (blue) and composting (green) bins available in select locations in the park. Please help us get as close as possible to a zero waste event by using these bins and ensuring that you deposit your waste items in the correct bins. Signs will be posted, and some locations will have volunteers to help you make the right choice.
  • Volunteers will be sorting the bins after the event as we will be charged a processing fee if any of the bins are contaminated. Please make our job easy by choosing the right bin!
  • We will serve food on paper napkins to minimize the garbage generated by the event. Place all used napkins in the compost bins.
  • Please note that dog waste is not permitted in City garbage bins. Please pick up your dog poop and bring it home for disposal.
  • Tents with tables and chairs will be set up in the stage/food area to provide shade while you listen to music or eat.
  • We are serving hamburgers, hotdogs and sausages, with choices for vegetarians/vegans. Our buns are not gluten-free. Your choice of a drink will include a pop, a juice box or a bottle of water. Please remember to put your juice box in the recycling bins and its straw in the garbage bins.
  • We encourage you to bring your own water bottles. Tap water is available in the park fieldhouse, or you can ask at the fieldhouse kitchen window to have someone fill it for you. Our outside water fountain/bottle filling station was vandalized 2 years ago and had to be removed.
  •  If you require water for your dog, please ask at the main fieldhouse kitchen window, and we will provide you with a dog bowl and water.
  • The First Aid Station is located at the kitchen window at the fieldhouse. A first aid kit is available for minor injuries and a volunteer with First Aid certification is available on site. Please ask a volunteer to call the First Aid responder if you need help. For a serious injury, please call 911 immediately. We do not have a defibrillator on site.
